Well-packed & shipped promptly. Order was Cocobolo spindle stock with sapwood. Buying wood online is risky, you don’t know exactly what you’re getting. Especially true of Cocobolo, it varies so widely. Best Cocobolo, with colorful streaks, from Nicaragua. I’ve also seen bland Cocobolo, probably from Mexico, looks like Mahogany. This is decent wood, not really colorful, but still has character. Sapwood not problem, will be on inside of segmented or stave cylinder. Recommend this product & vendor.
DTH has some of the best cocobolo. They are always straight and dry. Customer service is great. I have ordered from DTH several times and never have been dissatisfied.
I have been turning handles out of cocobolo for many years. For me the cocobolo is easy to work and takes a finish very well.
